What is Ipamorelin Peptide?
Ipamorelin is a synthetic five-amino-acid peptide designed to act as a selective growth hormone secretagogue, mimicking ghrelin at the GHS-R1a receptor to trigger pituitary GH release without significantly affecting ACTH, cortisol, prolactin, or other pituitary hormones.
Developed originally by Novo Nordisk and investigated in clinical settings, Ipamorelin binds specifically to the ghrelin receptor, activating Gq/PLC-dependent calcium signaling that leads to pulsatile growth hormone secretion. Unlike many other secretagogues, it shows remarkable selectivity, making it valuable for long-term therapeutic exploration. Reconstitute the 10 mg vial with 3 mL bacteriostatic water to achieve ~3.33 mg/mL for micro-dosing via standard insulin syringes (1 unit ≈ 33.3 mcg). Also explore GHRP-6 for potent GH release.
