What is GHRP-6 Peptide?
GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide-6) is a synthetic hexapeptide that acts as a potent ghrelin receptor agonist (GHS-R1a). It stimulates pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone from the pituitary while preserving natural feedback loops. Researched for supporting muscle growth, accelerating recovery, improving sleep architecture, enhancing appetite, and providing neuroprotective and cardioprotective benefits.
GHRP-6 binds to the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) in the pituitary and hypothalamus, triggering acute GH release while simultaneously reducing somatostatin tone. Unlike exogenous GH, it maintains physiological pulse patterns — GH and IGF-1 rise naturally, and feedback mechanisms prevent excessive elevation. Beyond endocrine effects, GHRP-6 activates CD36 receptors on immune and muscle cells, initiating PI3K/Akt survival signaling that protects tissues from oxidative stress and inflammation.
Reconstitute the 10 mg vial with 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water for ~3.33 mg/mL (1 unit ≈ 33.3 mcg on U-100 syringes). Standard dosing is 100–300 mcg per injection, three times daily on an empty stomach, spaced at least 4 hours apart.
Intended Research Use
- Stimulates strong, pulsatile GH release and elevates IGF-1 levels
- Accelerates muscle repair, reduces inflammation, and supports hypertrophy
- Enhances slow-wave sleep and overall recovery
- Increases appetite and nutrient partitioning for lean mass gains
- Provides neuroprotection, cardioprotection, and anti-fibrotic effects
- Memory consolidation and cognitive enhancement via GHSR activation
