Scientific Background

Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a naturally occurring 28-amino-acid peptide produced primarily in the thymus gland — the master organ of T-cell development and immune education. Synthetic Tα1 is chemically identical to the natural form and has been extensively studied for its broad immunomodulatory effects. It acts through multiple pathways: enhancing T-cell maturation and differentiation, stimulating dendritic cell function via Toll-like receptors, promoting balanced cytokine production (IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-10), and modulating MyD88/NF-κB signaling. It has been used clinically in over 35 countries for chronic viral hepatitis B and C, and investigated in sepsis, cancer immunotherapy, and as an immune adjuvant.
