Scientific Background
Epithalon is a short synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed from pineal gland research. It activates telomerase to promote telomere elongation, supports melatonin production for circadian rhythm balance, and demonstrates strong geroprotective properties in clinical and preclinical settings.
Telomerase activation in somatic cells leads to telomere extension and delayed cellular senescence. Epithalon also normalizes melatonin secretion from the pineal gland, restoring natural circadian rhythms disrupted by aging.
Clinical observations show reduced mortality, improved immune function, and better cardiovascular outcomes in long-term follow-up. Commonly used for longevity support, sleep quality improvement, and immune modulation in anti-aging protocols.
Intended Research Use
- Telomerase activation and telomere elongation research
- Anti-aging and cellular senescence studies
- Melatonin regulation and circadian rhythm support
- Immune function enhancement and inflammation reduction
- Geroprotective effects and longevity research
